Did the ACNA DE at Miller in Utah. First time ever for me on a track, as a driver anyway (I've done quite a bit of corner flag work there). Had an unbelievable blast, totally hooked to the track now.
My setup:
- Bilstein PSS-9s, 25.5" height all around, #1 setting all around.
- Stoptech club race pads (front) with Hawk HPS (rear), stock calipers, stainless steel lines, new rotors.
- 225-45-17 Goodyear F1-GSD3's on 17" OZ SLs.
- 710N's, Samco TBB, Engine Snub Mount.
The suspension worked great for me. Body roll was as minimal as you'd expect, very predictable nose diving under braking, good firm ride all around. Very happy with them (do note I am a total newb so not much to compare against).
The tires held up very well. A bit of squeeling when I was getting more aggressive, but never really did find the edge of traction.
The brakes were, well meh. Stock calipers, what can you expect? Even with Miller Park being hard on the brakes (high speeds), didn't get much fade. But I did get them smoking once or twice out there. Fortunately no warped rotors.
Now to just put more time out there. And get chipped (done very soon, wanted stock power for a newb) and hopefully find cash for a BBK.
And I highly suggest to everyone who can, go race at Miller, top notch track. Just don't get lost in the 4.5 miles and 23 turns
