I keep having this problem with my Nav+ and can't seem to figure it out...
It's almost like it doesn't know where North is. I enter a destination and after it tells me it's calculated, within a minute it tells me that I'm off road. It seems like it's doing a 180. When I'm going North it thinks maybe I'm going south...anybody have any suggestions? I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Is there a way to tell if it's getting a GPS signal?
My antenna (Eclipse) managed to work its way loose from the back of the unit. If this has been going on the whole time, you also might have a bad antenna location.

Step 1. Find out GPS signal strength
Either
a) From navigation menu
-> Mode -> Settings -> GPS Viewer
It will tell you the long/lat and how many satellites it has aquired 1~8
b) From the map screen
(using latest firmware)
-> Press the command button -> Compass screen
(using old firmware)
-> Enter route
Notice the symbol that looks like a little Dish, under it is a dotted line. Each dot represents how many sats.
If you have less than 5~6 sats the GPS will not be able to accurately triangulate your position, and from that point on it will attempt to "guess" based on speed and magnetic compass bearing.
Step 2. Did you wire up the GALA signal & reverse signals ?

my suggestions
step 1(as vr_life said) , click navigation button then press the right stalk until it shows the big arrows on the tv screen, it will show you signal stregnth, see if it has ANY signal.
next, make sure you have your gala wire connected. this could cause gross miscalculations as to your position based on not knowing how fast you can get from one place to another, so it can't tell you when to turn.

If you've got 3~4 that means you have GPS signal but not strong enough
Could be bad connecion, bad cable, or most likely : antennae is not in clear open location and reception is obscured by something.
Where's you're GPS ant located ?

In your opinion then, would you say that my gala,reverse wire is okay but it's the location?...
I put the ant where they recommended which with that long lead, is under the rear "hat" tray in the trunk. Where do you have yours located?
