Default HP is unimportant. It's all about torque. Also, some stage 2+ guys have roasted stock clutch...

My car would almost never hold on launches after being stage 2+. I was almost always unsucessful so I asked Piggie to try, thinking maybe I was doing it improperly, and sure enough it didn't hold for him either.

I'm not here to convince you of anything. If you want to go straight RS4 clutch, go for it. I'm just warning you that it's not as cut and dry of a decision as you may believe.

Default I believe you, I just think that I should be ok. I'm at stage 2+ now which should put me at over

100 ft-lbs more than stock torque and my clutch still holds fine. I think I'll be alright, but hey when it turns out I'm wrong, I'll be sure to post here so you can humiliate me

Default You can't dismiss his 1/4 mile times or dynos though....

And that's on the RS4 clutch. Many people on RS4 holding fine.

Most dynos have **** for load. Also, several launches causing slipping isn't exactly a good solutio

Default furthermore, if one significantly lightens their car, there is less stress on the clutch, so it will

last longer than on a normal weight car, all else being equal.

I agree that it's not a good datapoint

I for one will not be buying an RS4 clutch.. I'm going to look for some other options; VAST or a CM.
