Default I left my sunroof ajar, and it rained. Now, my pass. seat leather is not normal.

It's rough, as if the dye reacted to the water.

Any tips on how to fix this, besides buying a new pass. seat?

Thanks,

Default Is your leather toast? or broken seat? I called audi for a quote on just the leather skins (WOW)

$600+ for just the upper part and $600+ for the lower part.

I also contacted a few salvage yards but they were frickin useless as usual. They never even reply

Default I guess you need someone to pull the sunroof fuse

We had an old saab that she used to forget and leave the moonroof open on all the time. I pulled the fuse and disconnected the plug at the motor.

I would call a detailer or leather expert to see if they could help out. It may be fixable.

Default Go to an upholstry/restoration specialist..

... leather damage is common, and you should be able to get the upholstry reconditioned, depending on the damage. Of course they may have to redye it, and the color may not precisely match... but they should get it close. My dear friend just went through this with her BMW, the dealer fixed it and it looked perfect.

So hit up an upholstry shop or a good dealer to get it done. It should not be a problem and should cost WAY less than a seat. Good luck.
