increase in brake torque would equal in stopping power. Is it noticeable in say a 70 mph to 0 stop? I understand how the increased torque would relate to engine power output, but I am not sure with brakes.<ul><li><a href="http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi?html=info-B5S4-Braking-ECSStage1R.html&amp;make=Audi&amp;model=B5%20S4&am p;submodel=&amp;engine=2.7T&amp;category=Braking&a mp;subcategory=ECS%20Stage%201R">http://www.ecstuning.com

Default Well, you're dealing with a ton of variables there...

BUT, our cars have a pronounced forward brake bias. The rear BBK has a few advantages:

The rear wheels do more of their share.

The car is more stable under hard braking (solong as the bias isn't too rearward biased)

Less lockup of the front wheels (see above).

More even pad wear, front to rear.

I have front Stoptechs, so I already enjoy a bit of increased rear brake bias due to the piston sizing of their calipers. When my rears wear down again I'll go S8 rear rotors for a similar effect as the ECS kit you're considering.

Bottom line: On an Allroad, I'd definitely do it.

your rear is a solid rotor, ours is vented, i'm sure yours runs hotter and uses up more pad...

Default If you were going to do brakes for an allroad, to fit under 17 inch rims, what would you recommend?

(front and back) There are a couple of guys who run Stasis front brake systems on allroads, at least one has done rears also.
