As consumers, we all want the very best pricing, obviously.
The simple fact is this- Jacob (correct me if I'm way off here) is a one-man show without a bunch of employees and massive lease payments on equipment and facilities. Hence, if he flips some turbos and makes a few hundred on each set, he's happy, and so is the consumer who just got a great deal.
On the flip side, a one-man show often can't provide the service consumers demand. I have seen plenty of people post here about not being able to find Jacob or get in touch with him. If Jacob had someone full time at his business answering phones for $30K/ yr, he wouldn't be selling you turbos for $1600, that's for sure.
Put the consumer on the business side of the table, trying to feed a family and pay employees, and they'd be a bit flustered about being undercut as well.

Lower volume because there aren't as many S4s as ricer civics - therefore need higher prices to recover development/production costs
You need to have the more expensive car to test fit everything.
I'd guess that consumers looking for aftermarket parts for an S4 demand higher quality/fit/finish/ than ricer fart-can civic guy/gal would
Because people with S4s have more money to throw around than people with ricer civics.

My apologies to 'Todd/A.W.E.', Steve Trac and PiggieSmalls...i went back and STFA for Jacob's...
original post about the K04 Group Buy and realized that I misread. The MSRP on K04s is $2100 and the $1100 amount that I was referring to was the cost of upgrading from K04s to K04/RS6 Hybrids.
So, 100 lashes and no soup for me! I was talking out of my deranged a$$ and should have kept quiet. Sorry fellas...hope you'll forgive me and will still be my friends.
