I posted the other day about my ABS and brake light coming on....the I found this thread...
The lights come on for a few minutes then go off....ABS light solid and brake light blinking. I've checked the fluid and it's well above the min. line. I don't have a CEL, but I haven't VAG'd it yet...Matrix is bleeding my brakes this week, so I'll have them check it out. Luckily I'm still under warranty for a few months, but if the problem is the same as in this thread, will a new ABS module just do the same thing it's doing now? Thanks for any input.

ABS fix?

the control units are prone to moisture between the electrical connector and the curcuit board entering the control unit. in most cases you will not be able to communicate with the abs unless you take a large prybar and put pressure against the electrical connector towards the abs control unit. The new one will eventially do it to. if you are going to buy a used one be very careful to get the proper unit, check part numbers very carfully. there are many different variations and none of them are compatible with each other.
