Default *WHACK* [crashing noises] *OUCH!*

That was the sound of me knocking the fence out from underneath you and you falling backwards into Forge-land. Get the aluminum piston. It feels as good as the first time I put the Forges in my S4 at the beginning of February (when the weather was still cool). We only saw underhood temperatures *peaking* at around ~170 on an 85 degree day a while back. These things easily move (no notchiness whatsoever) at 200 degrees.

Default my only problem with the XS valve (besides the size)

is the lack of any O-rings at all

all the other valves have them

Default I have to echo what LCP said... I got these, as well... ran them today in the 100deg Bay Area heat!!

Wow, they really work this time

Did a few sprints up and down 280, playing tag with a few cars, etc ;-) Engine temp got up to around 250 ;-)

No sticking here, baby!

This design is way better, IMHO. Aluminum piston instead of pvc/plastic. Much higher-temp O-rings, too.

I'll borrow a friend's pyrometer and see how hot they REALLY get, tomorrow ;-)

GOOD JOB FORGE! Glad you guys fixed this issue!

Yep, I had the same symptoms... no boost until about 3500-4000... these new valves fixed that :-)

Default So what if you have the old ones & they aren't sticking?

Just curious because mine are fine. I have a set from the first batch of Stealth valves that came out. Ideas?

Default The new ones have a higher-temp O-ring, as well...

but if you ask me, I'd have to guess that the use of the alum. piston is the biggest reason for the fix :-)

These work waaaaaaaaaaaay better, and I beat the tar outta them today ;-)

Default Not up to speed on this, I know there is a problem

but is there a plan to replace the ones they have sold to customers with the new ALum one? Since so many valves sticking, seems like a recall is in order and issue the improved versions. Just wondering.
When I was at the QCUSA Driving school, I noticed that the last few laps of my time session, they car was hard to accelerate smoothly out of tight turns, it was all or nothing. It was much more pronounced at the end of the session, than at the beginning. Was hard to stay smooth and was not good when your drifting out of a turn, then wham, felt like JATO pack going off!
