Default I recently noticed that the front license plate frame does cover up a good portion of the

opening for the intercooler/radiator. Does anyone know if that affects the S's running temperature at all? My gut feeling is that it will probably cause it to run a bit hotter. Is it easy/legal to get euro plates installed in the front of the car? Where can one get one of them euro license plates?

Default the intercoolers are on the sides. the plate depends on your state. Here's a place though...

Default Great. Thanks. How does this work? The plates that

they create and send to you are legal state plates, right? They wouldn't cause any problems, would they?

Default woah nelly. these are not legal plates. if your state doesn't require a front plate, you can get

whatever you want in the front. If your state does require it, several people have purchased a euro plate w/ their real plate numbers and letters. In the end, it's up to the cop that stops you! Real plates come from the DMV.

Default I guess state DMV's don't okay or issue such license plates, huh? That sucks. I guess

trimming your plate is out of the question? =) Is there any other way to reduce the amount of space the front plate takes up?

Default Simply take the plate off, cut the plastic tongue back a bit and remount the other way around ....

This will remove the overhang of the plate over the lower grille.

Default Well my plan is this..

Don't put a front lic plate on. When I got the fix-it ticket I bought another "plate" (the place that's drilled to mount the lic plate) and quickly spray painted it.

I then used that plate to mount my front lic plate (i.e drill holes). Then got the ticket written off ($10). Then replace the stock piece up front again.

If I get another ticket I think it's still a fix-it ticket and I will just put the lic. plate back on, get it written off..etc..etc..
