I screwed up. e-brake wiring friend - e-brake light always on -
When I installed my TT I did not have a good ground and it roasted the e-brake wires to the switch. So it is no longer connected to the switch. Its making an intermittent connection so sometimes it is always off and sometimes it is always on. I don't mind if the "brake" light is always off, but I don't want it to always be on. SO I want to hunt the wire/circuit down and make it so it is always off.
Wondering if anyone knows if the ebrake switch closes or opens the circuit when it is released (light off).
In other words I am trying to figure out if I need to connect the two wires (ground/power) together to make the light turn off or if I need to keep them open?
I hope I don't have to keep them open, because when the wires roasted it caused the wires to be exposed and I would have to find the terminations on the wires and as far as I can see they are part of a huge wire bundle.. Any ideas? Fuse? Connection somewhere?
Regards,
Khai

Might want to fix it just incase the burnt wires could short out other wires
The heat of the burning wire could have melted other wires in the bundle.
I know it wont be fun(dealing with wireing harnesses never is) but you might want to figure out if it is a computer issue or a wire issue, use a multimeter and try and determine the root cause.
