I step outside of my office, only to see a Santorin S4.....
and a race between the two oddest of challengers: Seal Greay 996 TT vs. White Mazda Miata.
I look over at Commonwealth Avenue, while I'm trying to cross (Junction of Beacon, Comm Ave, Brookline Ave next to Fenway for the Bostonians) I see the Miata rev and see the side scoops on the 996. The 996 revs and I know it's on! I can see them looking at eachother shaking their heads. I stopped in my tracks and waited for the light, even though there was a blinking white light telling me to WALK!
I just lean back and prepare for the show. The Miata gets the hole shot while the 996 catches up quickly. I could see that the 996 was only up by 3-4 lengths once the were 500 feet or so from the light. The miata sounded like it was going to pop while the 996 had a low growl that sounded like a mix between a Motorcycle and a Mack truck.
and yes, that was the highlight of this very, very boring day in bawstin.

i've seen stupider races in boston.....
1. 1/4 m....actually quarter BLOCK race(the lights were literally maybe 100 ft apart) between a loud stand adna civic in downtown....
2. a mustang behind ME last week trying to provoke me by constantly spinning its tires and then braking (needless to say i was afraid he'd launch into my ***) in the IN THE MIDDLE IF A APCK OF WHAT MUST BE 10 CARS AT a STOPLIGHT in downtown near finale's and whiskey park....i wanted to kick his ***....
