Sorry, S4 newbie here, but has anyone done a newer tech turbo, like GT25, swap in an S4 yet?

Default I've ridden in two of them

and there is not a lot of lag. granted you get a better feel when you are driving it. but i really didn't notice it at all (over existing lag I mean). besides, I was too busy praying for my life as we hit 120.

Default Seems to me that it makes sense to...........

I mean, it's a real PITA to do the labor replacing the turbos on an S4, right? So why not at least put in a decent turbo once you're in there?

Cost of fabricating a custom flange for the DP and manifold perhaps?

Default ....neither of those were tuned.

They were running a basic program to get them up and running. I'm saving my comments for the tuned versions! ;p

Default don't know too much about it, but yes for the most part, replacing turbos on this

car is no fun as the engine ahs to be pulled (a few ppl in texas have seen otherwise though...but places will need to remove the engine). I think there was a RUMOR however taht there was a tuning company (maybe APR?? dont' remember) that was looking into to making their kit a non KO4 kit(garrett turbos). no definites though...
