Harbor freight has a super cheap IR, not laser, non contact thermometer on sale.

Default NO!!! Don't spend top dollar on that. I used to be big into RC Nitro trucks and you have to

have a good infrared thermometer. There are tons out there for under $50.00. They work great and are 99.9% accurate. This is the one I still have. Go to any Hobby Shop and they will have a few to choose from, or order this one online. Default Wow. That's a little spendy. I think I"m gonna go with a Fluke Model 62.

Seems to be a step above the majority, and obviously a step down from this one.

Plus I like fluke electronics.
