...anyone got suggestions? The HPS I've got right now just don't have much bite. They also seem to behave differently from hot to cold on the street. I'm pleased with their noise, wear, dust and their smooth linear feel, but I really miss the bite of my HP+ pads. I will never buy HP+'s again though.

Default Porterfield RS4 maybe. Clean and quiet. I have only had them on the rear of a car before, so cannot

say much about bite.

Default Ferodo DS2500 ?

They are bit dusty, but other than that, I've been very pleased with them on my S8. The pad comparison is rare in that it actually compares pads from various manufacturers -- Ferodo, Hawk, Porterfield, and a few others.

Pad Comparison

Default Are you using them for street use on your S8?

I thought they were a track pad. Is the cold bite good? Most importantly, are they quiet?

Default DS2500 street, DS3000 track

The DS2500 is a street pad, cold bite is good, and at least with my brake set-up, they've always been as quiet as a church mouse. I'm not sure I can ever recall them squealing.

BTW, the DS3000 is a truly great track pad. On the street when cold, though, the DS3000 eats rotors and squeals beyond anything I've ever heard. Cold bite is actually not bad, but on a steady brake pedal interstate exit, you can feel their friction suddenly increase when they warm up a bit. [Usually I'm too tired to swap back to the DS2500 before driving home after a track event.]

Ferodo Compound Comparison

Default i have the pagid blues....

they are nice.....but not very quiet....kinda makes it hard to bling it up when everytime you hit the brakes, people tell me "you need new brakes"

they also dust pretty badly as well....oh well...give and take
