I was wondering what this mod was all about and if it actually works... throttle mod??

It may have had some success with older GIAC-X code that had overboost TC (Throttle Cut) issues.
The problem that you see on the high end with only 80% throttle is that it drops off in higher RPM range.

I set up my 3/4 throttle mod using my VAG. Was set at 82% throttle with pedal all the way down.
That is why it ran out of steam at high RPM range in my post above with pic, because it was not at full throttle at redline.
