Ideas on moaning/groaning noise from front wheel assembly?
I've read that some of you have what appear to be a problem similar to mine. It's hard to say because describing sounds in words isn't the most accurate way to relay information, and the situations under which the sounds appear can be different.
Anyway, I get a moaning/groaning coming from the left front wheel assembly combined with a slight vibration I can feel in the steering wheel and the pedal. I have determined that it absolutely, positively is related to the brakes. The easiest way I can reproduce it is to brake hard before a speed bump; as I accelerate away, the noise presents itself. If I roll up to a speedbump and hit it without braking, the noise doesn't happen. So, it doesn't make sense that it's bearing or suspension related.
Any ideas on what it could be? Problems with the calipers not releasing the pad from the rotor? Any way I could attack a problem like that? Braking performance is fine. I notice no other problems. But the noise is friggin annoying.

My car does something like that too. I have Stoptech rotors, so the harmonics are probably different, but here goes...
After you brake the pads may actually still be touching the rotor. If your rotors are slightly warped then the pad will be pushed even harder by the high side of the rotor. This pressure on one side of the rotor creates a harmonic vibration in the rotor that sounds like a moan. One the wheel spins through a couple of revolutions the pads are pushed farther out of the way and the noise abates.
I have noticed the noise is louder with more aggressive pads.

Interestingly enough, this started AFTER my destroyed rotors were replaced with new ones....
Maybe the dealer put in crappy resurfaced rotors rather than new ones? They sure looked new... I also can't imagine I managed to warp a set of rotors in a matter of days...

I'm a dealer tech too, and I remember (way back) having little luck with new rotors.
Rotors that were resurfaced with an on-car brake lathe were far less likely to come back with a brake shake than new replacement rotors.

Does it sound anything like this situation?<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1929864.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1929864.phtml</a</li></ul>
