Hey guys...what about a bad EGT #2 sensor causing improper fuel/air mixture on cyl 4-6?

Default a bad EGT sensor should throw a code

did you get anything like "EGT - temp limit exceeded" or something like that?

Default No, didn't get any EGT DTCs. Only misfires. I once got a EVAP RECIRC or something DTC...

but I cleared it and it never came back. It occurred right around when my aftermarket exhaust fell out of adjustment and I smelled something burning under the car in the rear. Never pinpointed it but it never came back.

Default I got misfires on 4,5,6 with a disconnected DV.

Same symptoms as you. CEL came on, took it to the dealer, and fixing the hose connections on the DV fixed the problem. Which hose it was, and how it got disconnected? Your guess is as good as mine.

Default Re: Sorry to hear that you haven't had any progress...

They replaced plugs, wires, MAF, injectors, changed oil and checked amplifers, etc. I don't have a complete list of what's been done since I haven't gotten my car back from this last go round yet. email me privately dr.science@comcast.net.

Default Hey, Joe. So you're still alive!? Yeah, Audi couldn't figure out what was causing my misfire so...

I told them (no joke) "some guys on the internet said that the heads can go bad in these 2.7Ts which leads to misfiring...can you check that?". They said they'd look into it. After several weeks of beating their brains they changed the head (driver side)...probably in a fit of frustration. But, it didn't work.

What brakes/pads did you go with?

Default That's odd because air from either DV converges into one before entering the engine...

which shouldn't discriminate for only cyl 4-6...unless the leak is somehow disrupting the driver side turbo which in turn would screw up the firing on the driver side cylinders. Hmm...
