Default If Audi took an in house tuner... who would be appropriate?

I don't mean the S division - I mean something like DINAN with BMW (I have owned a DINAN M3, not a 100% worked out relationship there), Saleen & Rousch with Ford (both sold at dealerships with warranty, RUF with Porsche (not in this country however) ... Brabus or Renn Tech with Benz (this might be a stretch - although 12 of the major execs at MB own full Brabus conversions)
Of tuners such as: APR, Sportec, MTM, etc... who would be appropriate in your opinion?
There was a moment in time where APR had this relationship with a few select dealerships, but this is gone... I thought it was so terrific that I went out and bought an S4 immediately. The way it was explained to me when I got it, the APR chip, exhaust, etc... were like ticking off extra options on the order sheet, like when I ordered my DINAN M3 parts.

Default They have, with MTM and AMS, correct....at least, in Europe they do....

Chips are, as previously discussed, warranteed.

Else, house tuner is either Quattro Gmbh and Porsche :P

Default I think they need to embrace the American enthusiast crowd

Lately, it seems that they have begun to understand this concept... with the supersport models... but Americans love the aftermarket - and AoA is horrendous as far as this is concerned.

Default I'd say most likely APR

It seems that they have the largest dealer-base, and they engineer a wide variety of products. I think it would basically boil down to dealer network and distribution, and it looks like APR has the largest of both.

If Abt had a larger presence in the US, they might be a better choice, as they already have a close relationship with Audi.

Default Liability and warrantee issues....go check the B6 S4 Boards...

People are trying to get their car lemoned left and right.....would you HIT it as AoA, not me...

Okay, that being said, there is much to grow/gain/desire as far as dealerships are involved, but is this directly AoA's involvement??

Me thinks that AoA and VWoA have not fully recognized how much their vehicles are liked/loved/hated at the same time and that some extra service and follow up would come a long way.
However, I didnt study marketing or customer relationships, just a plain, simple, numbercruncher.....and I do think that AoA and VWoA have knowledgable staff around.

Default TAP...their customer service is just as bad as AoA from what I've heard...

...so they'd be a perfect fit for each other...LOL!

But in all seriousness, I'd put my money on either Abt or MTM.

Default I think MTM would have the inside track

But I don't think Hoppen Motorsports could handle it. Major changes would have to be employed.

Wonder if AoA could just buy APR?
