Default If i am swaping my M-box ECU into an H-box car can i do the cluster recode in my car?

talking about selling an M-box ECU to an H-box driver. If they do not have VAG access can i pluc the ECU into my car, recode the cluster and then pull it and ship it.

Can't see why not, jsut curious of anyone knows for sure?

Thanks

The person receiving the ECU does not have VAG, so it wont do them any good.

Default of course they have VAG. Audi is a VAG product.

jackass

although, I do wonder if he's going to ship his VAGCOM to the guy

or he could take it to a dealer - I'm SURE they'd LOVE to help out.

Default apparently neither of you understand how it works.....

you are going into the INSTRUMENT CLUSTER and telling it which ECU to look for.

This will do the future owner/user of the ECU absolutely no good.

Default the code that he has to change is in the end user's cluster, not in the chip

not that you could change that part of the chip without a programmer, anyway
