If I buy a used vag tool w/out the software is it worthless to me, how can I use it?

You can download the software and use the cable, but it won't have all of the features until you register - and pay the money.

iirc, the license is non-transferable, so you can only buy used w/o the software.
that is what i did. downloaded and registered the software.
you get a discount on the Bentley CD once you're registered, i think $70 instead of $100??

I've got a ZIP copy of it...
...I *think* it's version 2.09 or something like that. I forget where I found it, but it was online at one point in time so I snagged a copy. I've never installed it as I don't have a laptop to put it on, but shoot me an e-mail and I'll send you a copy. The ZIP file is about 600k.
