People told me that it will throw a code - the same one you throw if you disconnect the ECU
It might also put your radio into "SAFE" mode so make sure you have the code to unlock that. Aside from that, it's no biggie.

Not always... I've seen some where it didn't go into safe mode, and then others...
that went into safe mode, and then had to be replaced because the radio died.
Yes, my batter died, and it KILLED my stereo.

Hmmm, good to know, is it detremental to performance? ..
I am already out of warranty, so I could care less if the dealer finds it during some recall or the off chance I need to take mine in.
