Default If K&N bad for MAF why do reputable shops sell it for S4?

I've read on here that the fluid used for the filter messes kills our MAF's.

Just curious if they're bad for our MAF's then why would a reputable shop sell them for the S4's?

Here's a link to Streetwerke (Palo Alto, CA) a shop with a decent rep.

They're selling the K&N for a B5/S4.

Is there a way to safely use the K&N?

TIA
