If you can't drive to begin with.. why try to race?
I was behind a newer VW beetle at a red light today. The light turned green and everyone moved except the beetle. After the car in front of him was about 10 car lengths ahead, I finally gave up and decided to get in the right lane and go around him (four lane divided road). I wasn't in a hurry, didn't honk, and didn't take off fast or anything. Apparently, the guy stalled the engine trying to leave from the light.
Then I hear the beetle racing up and he slowed down when he got beside me. I slowed down because I thought maybe he was in a hurry or needed to get into my lane, but he also slowed down. OK.. so it's a race. So I ease on the gas and he keeps up for a second or so.. then I hit it hard and put plenty of space between us.
I have no idea what he was doing.. I couldn't see due to his tinted windows. IF he was trying to save face after stalling it.. it didn't work out.
That's all.

Yea, those turbo beetles are pretty damn...
ghey. Though I wouldn't mind owning a quarter-mile eating classic bug with a porsche turbo engine of choice in the back. Complete with wheelie bars.
