Clear coat is good. Everything is easy to clean up.
Do you have polish lip? Try to get it double chrome lip.

DCR Forged and HRE among the people who uses double chrome plate lip.
Since your wheels is 3 pieces, take it apart and have the lip dipped in chrome. It weight extra 13oz-1lb after dipping. It beats trying to polish it up making it look nice.
