Default I'm a couple weeks late with this but my car is up and running. A huge thank you to ASP (long, BWW)

Without trying to get too hokie, this was a long road that began nearly a year ago when I made the decision to sell my B6 and build up a B5. The decision was to do the mods as one project, not piece meal. I started meeting with Frank and Mark at ASP before I even had the B5 so I knew what I was getting myself into. I was fortunate enough to have kept in touch with Raj (RKA) and worked out a deal for the EXACT car that I wanted. The B5 sat for most of the spring and summer while I bombarded Frank with questions, phone calls and god knows how many emails. I can't thank Frank enough for helping me through the process of taking a stock car to what I have today.

I have to thank Frank, Mark and the entire ASP team for their service, knowledge, professionalism, dedication and commitment to doing the job right. You have a great team and now you have a great shop to go with it. Another big thank you to Tomasz at StartupRacing for helping me with my suspension options and questions. I couldn't be happier with the Penske setup.

While I'm still in the process of breaking the clutch in so we can do the final tune, I'm already super pleased with how the car turned out. I wanted the car to have that raw driving experience feeling and it's delivering, even with not being able to romp on it yet. I'm at 400 miles now so I'm hoping to be back at ASP on the dyno soon for the tuning process. Even at low levels of boost and barely touching the throttle, you can feel how much this thing has.

So anyway, here's what we did:
ASP GT28RS package
ASP full exhaust with manifolds
Forged rods and pistons
ASP FMIC
ASP stage 4 clutch kit with resurfaced flywheel
X-1 intake
Brembo 355mm 6 piston bbk
A8 rear brake upgrade with drilled rotors
Penske 8300 challenge suspension kit
ASP engine mount
ASP transmission mount
ASP rear diff mount
710N's
APR bi-pipe
60mm Defi Link gauge package (boost, fuel pressure, exhaust temp)
Total timing belt kit with water pump, etc
ASP TSB
E-Codes
JHM SS

Default Congratulations! You will have to post after you get the car tuned to hear...

your initial impressions. Just hold on tight to that steering wheel.

Default Verrrrrry nieeeeeeceeeeeee. </Borat>

I'm very glad to see that your car is finally all back together Rick! It was a pleasure to see her at ASP's shop during the build. She looks beautiful.

Can't wait to see and hear the final results. Be sure to post plenty of pictures and videos.

Damn. You must have spent twice as much as you paid for the car. Enjoy.
