Default I'm having issues with my new brakes. Can't get the pedal to firm up, among other things.....

Okay so I just bought brand new ECS slotted rotors for the front, SS lines, and Mintex Red Box pads all the way around. After bleeding the system 5 different times, I still couldn't get the brake pedal to firm up. Checked the lines and there was absolutely no air. So then I had the dealership replace the master cylinder. Still not firming. Looked at the first set of pads, and a single pad from each side had already worn down to about 10-15mm after less than 10 miles. So, I replaced the pads and used a completely different source across the country for the pads. Now, the pedal still won't firm. Guy who is helping me is calling it "mismatched surfaces" (the rotor and pads) and that as I put some miles on it will get better. Any suggestions?

Default bedding wont "firm" the pedal

if you are SURE its a "firm"ness issue and not a "bite" issue, try bleeding the ABS unit like enigmatic suggested.

if you simply aren't getting any friction, try rebedding.

Default ABS unit has been bled...my friend and I are starting to think it may be a caliper issue...

because, as I said earlier, the brakes have eaten up a pad on each side of the car and it looks like it is still doing it. The pads aren't defective this time so it seems the system is trying to stop the car using only 1 out of 4 pads on each side. Could a piston in the caliper be stuck, and that is the reason that wear is only found on one pad per side?

Default piston could be stuck, or you could easily be losing a seal or two

if you are in the LA area i have a spare set of HP2s lying around you are free to try...

No pulling under braking? How are the brakes performing other than the softness of the peddle?
