The warranty is Audi's, not the dealer's. If Audi wants to deny a claim for whatever reason, there is not much that the dealer can do. An argument that Audi "should have known" that people would chip their cars, because it is marketed to a performance-hungry crowd won't fly, in my opinion, if the courts ever got involved.

working and this doesn't ensure that engine problems won't arise in the future. I highly doubt that the dealer will be assured that all of the things that are covered under warranty will stay that way because a person put proper precautions to keep the engine cool. I'm not so to speak chip bashing, but I need to be assured that if I was in fact about to jump into a chip that it wasn't a mistake i'd pay for $1,500 + $20,000 for. I guess I need more evidence of it's safety not it's possibable tragedy that may arise. Plus would a water injection system void the warranty itself? My main concern is keeping my wallet in tact by having a dealer friendly car. If I can do this while chipping my car, my problems are solved....<p>Michael Tracy
