I'm pissed. My current Bosch MAF sensor lasted 450 miles (dry outside air, no snow, no dust)...

This is the 5th sensor in only 4 months... It's worst since I got this Stage 3+. I was able to return 3 of them already to Audi for "warranty" but now they suspect that my car has something "special" (huh?) and my feeling is that I will not be able to show up every 2-3 weeks for a new sensor each time.
Thinking about switching to a Hitachi MAF Sensor real soon and short Bosch on the DAX (German stock market).

The violet colored stuff inside the connetor surrounding he contacts was breaking down and the poor contact was causing the MAF to go on/off constantly. This burns out the MAF quickly. I called up Shokan and got a new connector for $35 and soldered the wires up. No problems for years, even with an intake.

Everytime, it's the same thing.
The sensor dies during hard accel (WOT..) on the highway ; a big throttle hickup for a fraction of second combined with a deep sound. and you know you're on MAP.
I'm gonna roll and ***smoke*** this MAF sensor I promess you.

just pay shipping.
I ordered a hitachi connector but got sent a bosch. I have no need for it so it's yours if you want it.
Let me know.
