Default Installed GIAC Flashloader yesterday - my first impressions and a ?

The chip does without a doubt transform the car into something completely different. Pulls very hard compared to stock. Seems to leave very hard and then boost will taper off after the initial launch which after reading these forums seems normal. I wish I actually had a boost gauge but still on BO from AWE for what seems like months now. My question is, after the boost tapers off from the initial hit, the car accelerates but is not constant. I guess the best way to describe it is like a sine wave. I have 710N's installed and am planning on doing the MBC tonight (set to 18 psi ???). I am also running stock exhaust and DP's. Any ideas or is this normal?

BTW, I think this is the beginning of the end. I kinda wish it wasn't under warranty and a CPO.

Default got someone with a VAGCOM or ECUx? Sounds like throttle cut on GIAC

What you are describing sounds like the throttle cut logged below on GIAC X:

Default Yeah, I agree.

It'll likely lessen after a few weeks as the ECU learns. GIAC seems to be the only chip that takes so long to adapt, but probably because its much more agressive than the others.

I do have a VAGCOM and will look at that this evening. Is it worth doing a TB Adaptation also?

Re-calibrates the TB. Pretty sure it should be done when the car is warm

Give your dealer a call for some help. If you bought from me or still need some help I will be around for about 2 more hours.
