ASP StIII. Having cold start problems. First month or so car started fine, but now it needs 2 or 3 cranks before what feels like enough fuel is in the lines to start up. Once there is fuel in there it starts no problem, not a starter or battery issue.

Someone mentioned there is a valve on the system that is supposed to prevent fuel from draining back to the tank, and the ASP pump (Walbro, Walboro??) doesnt have it? Could this be the culprit?

how many miles are on your fuel filter? i'd investigate that

if its the bosch 044, then yes. perfectly normal.

2k on filter-could have run through a dirty tank of gas though

my bosch does exact same thing. I let it crank a few times, key off, crank again, starts right up

I have Vast pump and it's done the same thing for two years.

With all that cranking I sometimes wake the kids up leaving at 5:30am.
