you know it's that time of year.. for summer interns in the office:)
We have one young engineering intern from UVa in the office for the summer. He's a *very* tired young man. We were in a big meeting awhile back with approx 30 people. We look over and see him literally fighting to keep his eyes open. He'd raise one eyebrow really high in an attempt to force at least one eye to remain open. On top of that, his mouth was hanging open. Of couse, we all kept quiet until word got around the entire room and the laughter woke him up. It's hard to describe in words, but IF I could've taken a picture you would have a *very* hard time not laughing.
The other day we got an email saying the online drawing system would be down for a week. We would have to revert to the old system of driving to the other end and printing them from cards. One person said, "yea, we finally found something for the intern to do." Then another wise guy speaks up and asks, "yea, but does the boy have a license yet?" It's really only funny if you could see this intern. He just finished sophmore year but looks about 15 yrs old.
Just yesterday he was taking his lunch out of the bag. The guy next to me sees how neat everything is and asks, "did your mommy make your lunch?" He looked up and said, "yea, how'd you know?"
He's a very good person and is very smart.. but it sure is fun having him around.
