was loose and since the (design flaw) B5 doesn't monitor pressure leaks that is known to cause overspin -> turbo death within a month.
But of course only a screw-type clamp, and not the factory (one-time crimping) clamps could come loose. Since the latter are impossible to come off without replacement, and leave marks.
This would make a killer recipe for "Roue a'la Flamb":
- Find a convenient & hot day, for a 50 mile drive
- Beat until thoroughly mixed
- Cook in boiling oil to 250F
- Remove without cooling down
- Repeat
Of course warranty work would be on the assumption you had no engine mod's (RIGHT !?!) *before* doing anything crazy.
Make sure the dealer knows how to prime the turbo with oil *before they* test drive, and before you drive away with new turbo's. Break in carefully for first couple hundred mi !
