Other than a really big rubber mallet, or should I just forget it and take it to a muffler shop? It's been on the car for 3+ years.

Are you unhappy with your G1? Just curious.

Bought the new G2 muffler from AWE, hoping to get rid of the "sandblaster" sound.

Default I would just remove all the hangers and pull them off when the exhaust is off the car. It's easier

than trying to remove the exhaust with remoiving the hangers. That's what I did last weekend, took me about an hour and I am slow as all hell. It's really easy just a pain crawling around under a car that only 16 inches over the ground.

I wasn't really planning on removing the whole cat-back, just the rear muffler.

Default I still think it would be easier to remove the hangers. Just my humble opinion though.

BTW I installed my G2 on Saturday. There are only 2 bolts (13 mm) holding each hanger in place and they are all easy to reach. And there are 3 hangers that hold the muffler section of the G2 in place.

Just remove the rear hangers? How do you like the G2?

Default Yep. On Simpply's advice thats the way I did it. Very easy to do. I like the exhaust, looks good,

it's a little louder at idle than I thought it would be but not bad and sounds a little more ricer than I would have liked, but I am used to V8's. Hopefully dp's will make it sound a little better.
