That's the only real way to state such statistics. If it were just total # of cars stolen, it would
just track the top selling cars - this normalized data shows people which cars are really targeted or easy to steal and the insurance companies determine their rates this way. No different than breaking out smokers vs non-smokers for life insurance rates. I'm helping to subsidize Audi's cheapness on the lack of theft prevention engineering on the '02 S4! Yeah, AoA, you're welcome (not really)!

I would expect them to retrofit it with a security device, much like other manafacturers!
To see an Audi on the top 5 list should put them to shame. Not a good thing for a luxury car maker. Shows to others that they do not take care of the buyers of their 45K dollar cars.

Honda and Toyotas
are stolen by volume NOT percentage. Percentage of cars out there is what matters. Also, they are MUCH cheaper cars. Nissan did in fact retrofit cars with increased security for free, at least their xenon headlights which were targets like the S4s. Those were also on much cheaper cars.
