So you bought an overpriced VDO boost gauge
14-18 gauge wiring is just fine for the little backlight in the unit. Wiring is as simple as 1. Attach lead to Yellow 75X power post; 2. Attach lead to ground point.

If that's the case, you should've gotten the AWE Tuning vent gauge
Price breakdown of the gauge and tubing: $30 for the gauge; $6 for the tubing. You can then DIY the vent mount.
