Default Just bought a S4.... mod recommendation

A couple of weeks ago I bought a 2001 s4 tip that was intended to be my daily driver with no mods but already I feel the need to tap into this cars potenial to make power. I have decided to start with a chip (GIAC), filter, and diverter valves. Can anyone recommend a good set of DV valves? Do after market valves make the pssst noise? If so is there a good set that doesn't? Also, does anyone have dyno sheets from a chipped tip? I have read that most chips for the tip produce a limited amount of torque due to the tranny. Is this true, and does the tip tranny limit the potenial torque you can saftly produce?

Good diverter valves = Bosch 710N, Bailey or Forge, none of which make any blow-off noises.

Default unofficial tq lim is 340 for tip tran, officially it is lower but 340 is the #, keep stock filter,..

also, get the Tip Chip and upgraded to a new throttle body boot (tbb)

summary

X Chip
Tip Chip
710Ns
Samco TBB
"no filter"

nice upgrade package with 710Ns and Samco TBB for added protection of higher boost

Default stay away from blow off style valves on any 2.7 twin engine - S4 or A6 2.7T

the computer doesnt understand when you vent the charge pressure air out into the atmosphere, it expects it to be re-circulated to the back of the line. Will result in overboost scenarios = over heat turbos = bad ....
