CH's are 18x8.5, I think you might rub with 245's...even with rolled fenders

Default Yup, it works OK.
245-35-18, But next time I will go with 235-40-18.

Some rubbing, shorter tire wall, and some tramlining.

Running 255/35/18's on CH. 245/35/18's will be easier to clear, but will be harsher per Tomasz post

I had 255/35/18 and 245/35/18s on my B5 A4..it all depends on how low the suspension is. I didn't rub with either set-up. I was running H&R/Bilsteins.

Default I'm running 245/35/18 on 18x8 with minimal rubbing......actually
until a installed adj upper control arms to correct 2.0 degrees of negative camber they never rubbed.
