Default just curious ---> what is AWE's thoughts on using TCDs and/or MBC with GIAC software...

and/or AWE/GIAC STAGE 3 kits...? i know i could email them and ask, but more curious to read some discussion and thoughts.

i have no extensive knowledge with using MBCs or TCDs and have not seen any result of them, but more interested to know why these parts are not included in the Stage 3 kits from AWE/GIAC/ACHTUNING/APR, etc....

enlighten me please, TIA.

They think it's a bad idea - especially the TCD.

Default Because they would not sell K04 GIAC s/w if they endorsed the use of MBC, TCD, bigger MAF/injectors

Not only would they not sell the s/w, they would not sell the hardware. You'd have to be crazy to spend the money they are asking for on their hardware when you can find just as good of parts (and a superior MAF IMHO) for hell of a lot cheaper.

Default I talked this over with the guys at AWE, they suggested that I replace...

...my N75 valve first. This did the trick for me.

I did order a TCD and MBC that I now don't need.. anybody want them? Make me an offer!

Default so do i have the right to assume this...

the GIAC K04 software is

=

to the GIAG K03 software, MBC, TCD, bigger MAF/injectors?

also, what defines a bigger MAF? if i have an M box S4 with the hitachi MAF, would i still need a bigger MAF?

Default Results so far have shown the K03 X/XR/XRR chip, MBC, TCD, bigger MAF/injector setup to equal

GIAC K04 power.

A stock MAF is ~73 mm IIRC (Bosch and Hitachi are the same size). Most upgrade to 83mm (RS4 MAF size). RS4 MAF is a Bosch MAF, but can be modified to work with Hitachi.

Quick Reply: just curious ---> what is AWE's thoughts on using TCDs and/or MBC with GIAC software...
