Just drove through a yellow light and saw the dreaded flash bulbs go off. So lame that they do that.

Busted! Cool technology. You must have been REALLY late, i.e. running the red.

I don't think robots writing tickets is "cool".

Default Well running red lights is not "COOL" either.

Problem is that people dont think it is wrong unless they get caught and there is not enough cops to sit at every light.

I don't think running red lights and endangering other people's lives is cool.

Default I agree. I just do not want something automated writing me a ticket. What's next

Ticket radars under every overpass.

Default Several people on the forum here have been T-boned by late red light runners .....

It's definitely becoming an increasing problem in the mid west. As they keep increasing the timing delays, it seems that people just keep running the lights later and later.

Default The reason they change the timinmg delays is to write more tickets

great study on that by Texas A&M (even though aggies suck).... I am looking for that.

That is why Dick Armey (former congressman from down here) was working so hard against red light camera's. The cities who had them changed the timing between yellow and red to maximize revenue

Default Actually, they've increased timing delays here to give a larger safety margin, but are finding ...

unfortunately, that drivers are taking advantage and running the lights later and later after they've turned red. Nearly every morning on the way to work I'll see some dumb *** running a light that's turned red long before he's ever entered the intersection.
