that are going to take on a project like this.
1. Take your time
2. Clean the brake dust off
3. Mask
4. Spray, I did 3 coats, used the whole can (STW German)
4. Dry
5. DONT USE A CLEAR COAT OVER ENAMAL PAINT. Since Im not a paint expert I thought that a clear coat would protect and extend the life off the application plus making it easier to clean.
I sprayed a small area of the rear caliper with VHT 1200 degree clear. Well low and behold the clear bonded with the paint and SHRANK IT. Almost like it creased and shrank it into a spider web. So now I have 3 beautiful calipers and one that looks fine through the rim but Im **** about stuff like that.

years and I know that doesnt make him a paint expert but I trust him and I didn't want to waste another day, but thanks anyway. When I have to redo them in a year or so, I'll look into it.

we all learned very early that while you can spray lacquer over enamel, the reverse just doesn't work unless you are looking for a particular peculiar texture.
