Does any1 know where i can find info on the deal with the whole NJ front license plate. i had the license plate in my windshield and it was CLEARLY visible, but the cop was an a$$hole and said he couldn't see it, which is BS. I passed inspection with it in the windshield, which i told him, but he didn't really care. He looked about 25, i think he was just jealous b/c i am 21 and have a nicer car then he will ever have. looked like his first month on the job. Anyway i am looking for info on the legality of having the license plate in the windshield. Also if any1 knows about the front 2 windows being tinted, i heard that if you are above 30% tint that it is legal, but i'm not sure about that one. Oh and it was also so important to pull me over that he ran 2 red lights and passed 2 or 3 cars on the wrong side of the road, i look in my rear view mirror and was like geeeze some1 is in trouble, then he pulled me over.

I've referenced the above for several states I know the rules in and it's current on those; YMMV.

maybe they thought you stole one of "our" cars and were trying to help us
doubtful you'll get away with the front plate. The best you can hope is that *people* will overlook it (such as at inspection), but when it comes time to look up the written law, you're likely out of luck.
As for tint, find it on NJ's DMV website, it's gotta be there somewhere.
Also, the police officers on this board might not appreciate your comments about them not being able to afford these cars that they already have.
