Just got an alignment and the tech said everything looked okay
had to adjust the toe of the front wheels, but everything seemed fine, to him.
When traveling straight, my steering wheel is kinked over pointing left. What could be causing this?
Thanks.....

it's possible to adjust the neutral position of the steering wheel without changing the alignment.
of course, when i asked the dealer to do that, they broke some spring in the steering wheel, had to order the part, and i got a loaner jetta for a couple of days . . . but now my steering wheel is aligned.

I'm in for alignment also. I should have results posted this evening...
my front right inside shoulder was wearing awfully fast, so something is outta whack, majorly. The main SA at my dealer just said "bring it in, we'll use the free alignment Audi alots in the warranty period." I love the main SA at my dealer, he's a really nice guy. The Audi specific one is brand new, so he still gets my name wrong and always looks like a deer in headlights. FWIW my dealer also deals with Buick, Saab, VW, and Porsche, so yeah, they're buuuusy.

I have the same problem and am going to take it in for an alignment anyway...
Steering wheel tilts slightly to the left and the car will travel left as well. Not sure if you have noticed this or not.

its really easy if you have toe-plates or a way to adjust toe.
adjust both tie rods towards the same side. If you need to hold the steering wheel slightly to the right, you need to shorten the right tie rod and lengthen the left one the same amount. I wouldnt trust it by only counting turns. You need to adjust the toe once you get it straight. This happens because they only adjust toe with one side and not do half the correction on both sides.
