like a different car completely. i got in the car and went to move it and almost stalled out. The engagement point is very low compared to where it was before. There was some kind of clunk or raddle with my original clutch/flywheel, and its completely gone now. I thought that it was just transmission movement, but i was wrong. Now that thats gone, all i notice is the tranny movement. So much so, that im really considering a TSB and a snub mount now.
The brakes are very spongey with the new rotors and pads. Is there a break-in for the brakes? I know there is for the clutch.
thanks

also, for some reason, the clutch pedal seems extremely light. but, this could be because i was driving the m5 for the week my car was in the shop

Do those stops HARD- let ABS kick in when you do those stops. When I was bedding some brakes a few weeks ago (correction I was the co-pilot, a pro race driver was doing the bedding), we did 100-10/ 90-10/ 80-10/ 100-10 a few times. Rear brakes were SMOKING when we were done bedding the fronts... (remember I have stock A4 rears, so you won't be smokin your S4 ones up)...
Also could be air in the lines causing squishyness. Bleed them! And check your fluid level.
They should be very firm and grabby (well as responsive as stock ones can be) when you first get it from the stealer with fresh pads + rotors.
Any softness or extra travel in the pedal is due to *something not quite right*. S4 brakes generally aren't soft when new....
