Just hit a deer and ran off a cliff tonight, car looks totaled! Need insurance help.
I was coming home from a party last night and decided to go crash at my friends house up in the mountains. On one of the turns, a deer jumped out and I hit his hide, causing my car to swirve off the road to the right into a ditch and out again. I hit like about 4-5 different ditches. Now my entire front end of the car is messed up. My front bumper and radiator is gone, along with the intercoolers and oil cover. My alignment is ****ed up, and my fenders are bent. My passenger side door doesnt open, and my hood wont shut.
I believe my car is totaled, My friends believe the damage can be fixed but it is going to cost the insurance company a lot of money.
Does anyone have any experience with accidents and can provide me with insights and procedures? What I ultimately want is a new car.

I had an accident a year ago in my car, not the S4 but another, and it is basically up to the insurance company to decide whether to fix the car or total it from what i understand. If they think it can be fixed for a reasonable amount of money they will get it fixed. If they dont think its worth it to fix it, they will probably give you the retail value for the car. This is what i got from my situation. Dont know if it applies here.

How can I get them to give me a new S4? I really dont want to loose the down payment on my car.

Normally, the insurance company will only pay for a brand new car if the original has low mileage or is less than three months old.
This happens maybe in 0.0005% of claims, so you have a chance.....
Otherwise, they'll just give you a check for the retail value of the car prior to accident so you can go and buy a second hand similar replacement

Well...
...what do you mean, "lose the downpayment on your car?" Most everyone here lost that the second they drove their S4 off the lot, as the value of a new car can plummet several thousand dollars as soon as it's titled.
In other words, don't expect your insurance company to pay you what your car's MSRP was, or expect them to outright buy you a new S4. If the car is totalled (which is sounds like it might very well be), they will pay you the fair market value for an S4 of your model year and mileage. They give you a check; you're on your own to find a new set of wheels.
Sorry, man. Dealing with insurance and wrecks can be a bummer. Hang in there!

The odds just got better....
Definately - your car fits the parameters outlined by the insurers - just make sure you're straight on your story and it corroborates with the viewable damage and events you describe.
Police reports or a photo of a deceased or three legged deer would help...
Remember - insurers don't like paying out and will do pretty much anything to avoid doing so!
Best of luck!
