Default Just installed DBAs with Mintex Reds- all is well except . . .

that they seem to produce more dust than stock- or at least as much- either that, or I'm braking later/harder.

I've STF, but is there a pad that works as well as the Mintex Red but produces less dust? Remsa Golds?

Note: for street only.

Wrong, they only stated they hadn't heard of them or tried them with their rotors.

Default Have you spoken w/ the company since

they requested my damaged rotors be sent to them for R&D from use with inappropriate pads?

Default No I have not...perhaps I was a bit too firm with my original response...

...I probably should have just stated that there is some controversy at the moment over that setup. I do recall someone posting a short while ago that they spoke with DBA and DBA hadn't tried the Mintex RedBox pads with their rotors, thus they really did'n't have an opinion on this combo other than to suggest the use of a different pad (Hawk pads I believe).

Default FWIW- AWE recommends the 2 together and they do work well IMO. Good feel, no noise, little fade

just too much dust.

They do the important things well- just wondered if anyone had had Mintex and gone on to others which yielded less dust.

Default That's really odd...I have that combo and the dusting is very low.

Much, much lower than the stock pads, especially on the front wheels.

Perhaps you need to put more miles on the combo? I don't recall mine dusting more right after installation, but they may have and I just didn't notice.

Default Probably not. The mintex red dusts very little, but it offers little in terms of performance.......

I've never seen a truly effective pad that is low-dust.
