I haven't heard of crankwalk in an Evo motor yet. I think that was exclusive to the 2G DSM 4G motor.
Yeah, DSMers have been going 11's for years, it's nothing new on a 2.0L. What amazes me is how well designed the stock turbo is on the Evo. Instant spoolup and a pretty wide torque band for an itty bitty motor.
Oh, and the handling ain't bad, either.

Its likely that out of the box, they run the Evo leaner in the lower RPMs than a lot of the old school DSM's, which could explain the slightly better spool up characteristics on the Evo vs. the Eclipse/Talons.
I like the 4G63s, too many friends had them - though the gearing does hurt the Evo quite a bit. Not sure why they never threw the 6 speed in this model...

I own a 2g GST and a 2 liter A4, plus I get to drive my friends 12.2 second EVO now and then. Should have some fun this coming summer when we get to line up my A4 vs his EVO.
