Just saw Verruckt's 185mph video,was wondering has anyone else gone 185 in an S or is this a record?

We also know that many Euro models are notorious for optimistic speedos at high speeds...
...due to laws requiring them to never read slower than actual (even if larger tires are used). 290km/h is 180mph. Also, when chipped, doesn't an RS4 rev pretty easily to something like 7300rpm?

RTFM - like I said - it had *plenty* left in it, he only backed off due to lack of road

Yeah, it may have had plenty of power to overcome drag at that speed, but how many RPMs did it have?
I squeezed out 180 with K04's, piggies, stock IC's, and no fuel system upgrades. With ~50 more horsepower now, I'm sure I'd have plenty of pull left in my motor at 180mph, but I'd be running out of RPM to pull it through.
