of owning an S4. Get an M3 if you have somthing that you can drive every day, but I live in NY and the winters get pretty nasty...so I wouldnt be getting much of anywhere in an M3 however I just glide right through in my S. My Mom owns a 5 series wagon and same with that car, wont go ANYWHERE. I could just imaging how bad an M3 would be then. Anyway I would just look harder, M3's are like S4's in that you are going to find a lot of beaten ones, esp. w/ ~40k miles. Also look at the colors, a Laguna Seca blue was most likely owned by a younger person (read: beat). Not necessarily true but its the reason a lot of people will not buy a red car used! I would say if you are serious you find the right one.
