Default Just went stage 3- with k04s -- question about a code I'm throwing

Never used vag before, so I'm not sure which one is the correct number for the code but it's either:
17695 or P1287 and it says boost pressure control valve (n249)--open circuit. The mechanic thought that the boost pressure control valve actually controlled the bpv's and so if the valve wasn't working, the bpv's weren't working (which is bad). The car has K04s, ams chip, neuspeed exhaust, and gutted precats with relocated 02s. The thing is, it runs smooth and doesn't throw a CEL, so I'm wondering if I should get a new boost pressure control valve or just leave it alone.

Sounds like you might have a bad N249 or you might need an MBC

Default I have an MBC though and the car feels like it runs fine

If the N249 was broken, that would create more backpressure for the turbos and you'd hear them wind down really fast right?

Default Do a search for n249 delete. Your mechanic was right about the valve's job.

N75 is the boost control solenoid.

Ding, winnar! Chances are it's unplugged. It is a grey connector to the right of the YPipe FYI.
