Default Don't knock it if you haven't tried it!

It's got two LEDs in the dash, with speakers mounted in the vents. It's got different sounds for the signals (K, Ka, X, Laser) and a special beep for instant on, followed by which band it's coming on. The switch is mounted by your knee. Search the archives, and there's a pictorial describing the system. It's pretty slick. By the way you dis on the K40, methinks you're a little insecure with the purchase of your V1. Respect the competition, bub.

Default There IS indication.

There are two LEDs, one indicating front, and the other indicating rear. TRUE, the V1 has side indicators, but it's pretty safe to say that you don't get much action DIRECTLY from the side. The front covers the first 180, so you know where to look, and the rear covers the back 180.

Default Your opinion. It will sequentially beep out the signals when there is more than one source present.

It works the same sort of way

Default The street I live off of constantly has one of those speed-reminder trailers...

Ya know, the little trailer with the sign thats says "speed limit 25" and shows your speed. So I tested out the V1 by cruising up and down the street past the sign a bunch of times... Handy test device. Also parked in front of it to try to find out what the second volume **** does, and couldn't find any effect...

Default and it does... but getting used to any radar detector and what everything means takes time!

All the lights and beeps coming from a V1 could be confusing at first, and my buddies that run with the V1 will openly admit that.
